I started teaching today. That was good. I can’t believe it: one of my students taking the 10-day Calculus crash course is only in grade 6!!!! Grade fucking 6, doing grade 12 calculus!! Unbelievable. Not only that, but she’s my best student!! Fucking insane. Just insane.

So I enrolled in all my courses, no problems. I have Tuesdays off, which is nice I guess because I’ve never had a day off. But then again, all my other days are more crammed. Oh well.

Let’s do something fun and cool!! This riddle MUST be done in your head NOT using a pen or paper.

Here it goes:

  • Take 1000 and add 40 to it
  • Now add another 1000
  • Now add another 30. Another 1000.
  • Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10.
  • What is the total?
